THE FNPF has further strengthened its IT security system following a failed attempt to hack into its accounts recently.

Fund CEO Aisake Taito confirmed yesterday that their IT system detected the unsuccessful attempt.

"We would like to assure our members that no classified member or financial information was compromised during this failed attempt," Mr Taito said.

He said as custodians of members' retirement savings and financial information, the Fund was fully aware of its duty to protect this from those who may wish to use this information for illegal purposes.

"We would like to assure our members that no classified member or financial information was compromised during this failed attempt."

Mr Taito said they had stringent measures and procedures in place to reduce the possibility of any such breaches.

Police chief operations officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu said they would comment on the matter today. (Swami, 2013)
